Hayden Homes sells out at Conway on the Grove

Hayden Homes has sold out Conway on the Grove, its exclusive gated villa enclave on Conway Road in Chesterfield. What’s impressive is that this $16-million-dollar community of 13 stone villas that builder Dennis Hayden describes as a 19th century European village, will be totally completed by October 2006 – less than four years after its grand opening.

“The triumph of The Grove has been a great source of pride for Hayden Homes,” says Karen Kastel, community manager for Hayden’s three villa communities on Conway Road, two of which still have homes available. “The architectural details on the exterior and interior of these homes are exquisite. It’s a one-of-a-kind community and that’s why it has sold out so fast.”

A charming aspect of this community is that the villas are located on a one-way, private street that surrounds a large grove with many mature trees, creating an intimate setting. And the homes are made out of Oakfield stone, a non-tumbled version, which casts artful shadows down the wall. Other materials used to gives these homes their rare quality are wood accents, Pella architectural windows with stationary mullions and heavy slate-like shingles.

“The Oakfield stone and that fact we were able to preserve beautiful trees in such a layout, make this neighborhood look as though it’s been here for a hundred years,” Hayden says, looking out over his nearly-finished community on a recent tour. “It’s nice to build something in the community that you know will look beautiful and be desirable a hundred years from now.”

Melody King, a Conway on the Grove homeowner, says that while they have friends at August Hill, the stone at Conway on the Grove is what caught her eye.

“We loved the look of the stone so much we decided to look there, instead,” King says. “We knew that Hayden was a great builder. We enjoyed the process and were confident that everyone working on it was doing the best job.”

King says that the attention to detail and that everything has been looked at very carefully is something that stands out for her.

“There are just a few models, but they all look really unique and individual on the inside,” she says. King enjoys other aspects of the community, as well.

“We obviously love the people we’ve met,” she says. “It’s always fun while everyone is building.”

The same luxury-villa lifestyle can be captured at Hayden’s two other gated villa communities, just west of Conway on the Grove on Conway Road. August Hill and Belle Monte Road, communities each with its different style of architecture, have also been very successful. Of 79 total opportunities for living in a Hayden villa in one of these three enclaves in Chesterfield, 66 villas have sold. Just three opportunities of 22 remain at Belle Monte Road. Two story-and-a-half Aubagne villas are currently under construction. One, on a corner lot with some unique features, will be available for move-in this fall. The other Aubagne, along with a Bordeaux ranch, will be available this winter. Prices for remaining homes at Belle Monte Road range from the mid-$700,000s to the low $800,000s.

Hayden’s August Hill, its largest villa enclave with 42 villas, features beautiful French chateau architecture. This community also has some opportunities available, from inventory homes ready for move-in to some homesites still available for building. Hayden has planned villas for each remaining homesite, but plans could be changed if a buyer desired and made that request very soon. Prices for villas in August Hill range from the mid-$700,000s to more than $1 million.

August Hill, Belle Monte Road and Conway on the Grove are located on Conway Road, 1/2 mile east of Chesterfield Parkway. Hayden’s display home and information center at August Hill are open 11 to 5 daily. For more information, call Karen Kastel at 636-519-1858.
