Hayden Homes was a big winner this year, receiving a Homer Award for each of its three entries, at the 2005 Homer Awards ceremony, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis, at America’s Center in downtown St. Louis. The Homer Award is given by the HBA for excellence in design, construction, workmanship and value.
Dennis Hayden, president of Hayden Homes, said that while trophies are nice, the real awards in this industry are of an immaterial nature.
“It is always gratifying to be recognized by my peers for excellence in design and construction,” Hayden said. “However, the ultimate award is earning the trust and satisfaction of our purchasers one at a time.”
Even so, Hayden Homes has plenty of material awards to show for its commitment to quality in the homebuilding industry. Since the company’s founding in 1977, it has been awarded a total of 67 – and that’s just including Homer Awards.
This year, two of Hayden Homes’ winners were judged in the category of single-family detached. The Magnolia display at The Manors at Magnolia won the award for “Outstanding Home – $653,550 – St. Charles County.” The Manors at Magnolia is a luxury neighborhood of single-family detached homes within the multi-builder community of Magnolia in O’Fallon, Mo. Base prices for a Hayden home in this community range from the $360,000s to the $450,000s.
To visit The Manors at Magnolia, take Highway 40 west to north on Winghaven Blvd., which becomes Bryan Road, for four miles. Turn right on White Magnolia Dr. (there is a Conoco gas station at this intersection). Once inside the Magnolia community, go right on Magnolia Valley Drive, then turn left on Oriental Lily Drive to the intersection with Snowberry Ridge Drive, the location of the Magnolia display. Or, call Mike Treacy at 636-379-1570.
The second Hayden home to win a Homer in the single-family detached category was the Pendleton model at The Manors at Heritage Trails, and it won the award for “Outstanding Home – $858,141 – St. Charles County.” The Manors at Heritage Trails is a community of just 41 upscale single-family detached homes conveniently located in St. Charles off Upper Bottom Road near Highway 364, or Page Avenue. The Hayden homes here are base priced from the upper $400,000s. Exceptional homesites still remain at The Manors at Heritage Trails.
Hayden garnered its third Homer award for the Geneva model at August Hill, which was judged in the category of single-family attached and won the award for “Outstanding Home – $1,071,793 – West St. Louis County.” August Hill is one of three Hayden gated luxury villa communities off Conway Road in Chesterfield. Base pricing at August Hill begins in the low $700,000s. There are still excellent homesites and inventory homes available, but these three communities are quickly approaching sell-out status and few opportunities remain to enjoy the lifestyle possible in a luxury villa of this quality in Chesterfield. Conway on the Grove and Belle Monte Road are adjacent, on either side, to August Hill, which is located on Conway Road about one-half mile east of Chesterfield Parkway.
In addition, Hayden Homes received a Bravo Neighborhood Award for its established villa community, Amberleigh, located in Chesterfield at Schoettler and Clayton roads. Hayden Custom Homes, an award-winning division of Hayden Homes, offers a number of design/build services, including a tear down/build new program, on both sides of the river.
