Hayden Homes gains four marketing awards for 2005

Hayden Homes did very well, winning four marketing awards, at the Annual St. Louis HBA Sales and Marketing Council Awards Dinner on Thursday, March 2, 2006. The company received a 2005 Model Home Merchandising Award, $650,000 and above, Single Family Attached, Designer June Roesslein Interiors, for its already award-winning model home at its exclusive villa community August Hill on Conway Road in Chesterfield. August Hill was also recognized with a 2005 Community Entrance Monuments Award.

“June Rosslein did an excellent job for us in this model home – really hitting our target market,” said Dennis Hayden, president of Hayden Homes.

Before the company starts a new neighborhood, Hayden Homes likes to do research on its potential market and how they want to live. They try to take this research into account when designing the subdivision layout, floor plans, architecture and features, in order to better serve its clientele.

August Hill, a villa enclave featuring French chateau architecture with exquisite interior finishes and traditional but open floor plans for entertaining, is geared more toward empty nesters or soon-to-be-empty nesters, who enjoy doing things other than yard work. This goal has been very successful. August Hill, however, has also become a popular place of residence for singles or younger couples, who also prefer to spend their time doing other things.

The Geneva model at August Hill is an approximately 3,366 square-foot story-and-a-half villa with three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. This home has been recognized before by the Home Builder’s Association with a 2005 Homer award. Hayden says that while it’s always pleasing to win awards, the SMC program has a greater purpose.

“The SMC awards program is designed to provide sales managers, marketing directors and interior designers with the opportunity to compete,” Hayden said. “This competition creates a desire to improve performance, which improves business conditions for builders and raises the image of the building community in the public’s view, which is a very important function.”

August Hill has been very successful and is now in close-out phase. Only four out of 42 build-able homesites remain, but there are some inventory homes available at different stages of completion.

Hayden Homes also received a 2005 Model Home Merchandising Award, $650,000 and above for its Pendleton model at its community the Manors at Heritage Trails in St. Charles County and a 2005 Singular Ad, Half Page or Less Award for its Cookie Cutter Homes advertisement.

Hayden Homes was founded in 1977, and has built more than 3,500 homes in 50 new home communities in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Hayden was also one of the first home builders in the area to build luxury villa communities; it has completed many such neighborhoods since the mid-1980s: Amberleigh, The Terraces at Woods Mill Cove, The Townes at Thousand Oaks and The Willows.

August Hill is located on Conway Road, one-half mile east of Chesterfield Parkway. The award-winning Geneva display home and information center at August Hill are open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For more information, call Karen Kastel at 636-519-1858.
