Blackberry season comes but once a year. Here’s a recipe for a sparkling cocktail with blackberries to celebrate it right! We made these over the weekend for Mother’s Day and enjoyed them so much, we had to share. Think French 75 with a seasonal twist …er … muddle. The blackberries are delicious right now so try this blackberry cocktail while you can.
Blackberry Fizz
- 2 large fresh blackberries
- 3/4 oz. freshly-squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 oz. simple syrup
- 1 oz. Lillet Blanc
- 1 oz. gin
- 2 oz. chilled sparkling wine
- Garnish: fresh blackberry
Muddle blackberries, lemon juice and syrup in mixing glass. Add Lillet, gin, and ice and shake. Strain into chilled champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with blackberry.
