Dreaming of Spring Cleaning – Laundry Rooms to Inspire

The recent bout of warm St. Louis weather had us dreaming of spring. Beyond the wet showers and blooming flowers, what else comes to mind? Spring cleaning of course! For most, cleaning is a dreaded chore. We’d rather be enjoying our hobbies and time with family than dusting the blinds or washing clothes, but those tasks simply cannot be ignored.

Laundry rooms have undergone a design overhaul in recent years. Once hidden in a closet, they are now thriving spaces with clever storage and creative design. If you’re sketching out your dream home or remodeling your current home, DH Custom Homes has a Pinterest Board to inspire!

Color Your Home

Just like you create first impressions when you walk in a room, your home will create a first impression when someone passes by or a guest pulls in your driveway. We blogged about Home Resolutions in the New Year recently, discussing the importance of putting your best face forward. Curb appeal can’t be overlooked! Whether you’re designing a new home or considering a “face lift” for your current home, it’s very important to select a color palette for the exterior that coordinates nicely with the architectural style and interior of your home, the surrounding homes and your own personal style. Looking for inspiration? Or maybe you’ve fallen in love with a DH photo and are wondering how the color palette would look on YOUR home? You’ve come to the right place!

Chesterfield Two-Story Remodel - Opening Up the Floor Plan

We’ve been working on a pretty major remodel in Chesterfield on a two-story home. The entire first floor is being transformed. The young family opted for some really great updates and extra cool personal touches, including an area in the dining room we are looking forward to sharing when it is complete!
